Celebrate with Us at the Beyond Sisters Celebration
We made it to mid-October! Woo-hoo!!!
We are still here. We are still standing. And there is soooooo much to celebrate!
In Psychology Today, social psychology researcher Fred Bryant said:
“when we stop to savor the good stuff, we buffer ourselves against the bad and build resilience—and even mini-celebrations can plump up the positive emotions which make it easier to manage the daily challenges that cause major stress.”
So let's have a CELEBRATION!
Join me for a Beyond Sisters Celebration on Zoom on Wednesday, October 21st at 7:30 pm ET/4:30 pm ET. We are going to CELEBRATE with music, inspiration and good vibes! So many of us have not given ourselves permission to celebrate what we have accomplished this year, so I want to give us all that permission we're looking for.
We will also be celebrating three amazing women who have truly met this moment with bold action, purpose and resilience:
Luvvie Ajayi Jones (who unfortunately won't be able to join us in person): Best selling author, blogger, podcaster and co-founder of #ShareTheMicNow. We are celebrating Luvvie for using her power and influence in this moment to create a movement, while also living out what it means to be a “Fear Fighter.”
Minda Harts: Best selling author, podcaster, professor and advocate for women of color in the workplace. We are celebrating Minda for speaking truth to power and for being a fierce advocate for women of color when it mattered most.
Amber Wright: Author, executive coach, communication expert and PhD candidate: We're celebrating Amber for saying “yes” to herself and feeding her dreams even when she could have said “maybe next year.”
So register for the Beyond Sisters Celebration at beyondthebusinesssuit.com/celebrate. And bring your girlfriends, sisters, cousins, aunties, mothers and anyone else you know who needs to celebrate!

So you know someone worth celebrating? Tell us who you are celebrating and why
Also, because I love a good cocktail, please see my recipe for a Fall Apple Cider Mimosa to toast with us on Wednesday!
Apple Cider Mimosa
1/4 cu champagne (Prosecco or any sparkling wine would also work well)
1/2 cu cold apple cider
Sugar, cinnamon and splash of apple cider for rim (best with sugar in the raw or brown sugar)
slice of apple as garnish
Directions:
Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small plate or shallow bowl. In separate shallow bowl, dip the rim of champagne flute in water, then dip it into the cinnamon and sugar mixture.
Pour the apple cider into the flute until it is 1/2 – 2/3 full
Pour the bubbly to fill the flute
Garnish with a slice of apple
(For a great mocktail, use sparkling apple cider with a cinnamon and sugar rimmed glass!)
