For the next five episodes, I am sharing some Beyond the Business Suit Conversations that were recorded live on Zoom with some of our Beyond the Business Suit audience March 16-20, 2020, which was the first full week that the majority of the people in the United States were working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic. What was placed heavily on my heart was to invite several people to give us support, insight and perspective during this time. Wherever you are in the world, I hope this perspective is comforting and helpful for you.
This first episode is with Pastor Léonce Crump, Senior Pastor at my home church, Renovation Church which is located in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. Pastor Léonce spoke to us about faith, leading through a crisis like this and why African-Americans specifically should be leading the way in how to respond to this pandemic.
Quotables
“There is nothing more resilient than the African-American soul. And so for us…to be panicked right now? We have generations of ancestors that have prepared us for this very moment with both the resilience of the African American spirit and the power of the ever present God.”
Renovation Church is streaming live on Sundays at 9:30 am and 11:15 am ET. You can learn more about Renovation Church here (and you can find a list of sermons here).
