Episode 223: 2020 Hindsight and Ways for You to Go Beyond with Us in 2021

Hi there and welcome to the last episode of the Beyond the Business Suit podcast for the year! In this last episode, I wanted to share with you: how this year has redefined two phrases, my reflections on this year and two exciting announcements.

This year has redefined what the terms “2020 hindsight” and “2020 vision” mean. So, as I think about the 2020 vision and hindsight I have gained throughout this year, here are just a few lessons I’m sharing in this episode:

1. We need more stillness.
2. Health is wealth.
3. Prioritize people over profits.
4. Technology should be used to engage with, not escape from, others.
5. We we all need to embrace VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity).

I also shared a mini year in review:

Though personally I miss seeing and hugging my family and friends and feeling the energy of in person gatherings, from a business perspective, my company, The Asbury Group, had a pretty good year. Through programs, events, workshops and speaking engagements we served thousands of people. I saw over 200 women graduate from programs I was a part of and started over 400 more leaders and emerging leaders in programs that will end in 2021. The Beyond the Business Suit podcast had over 90,000 listeners in 106 countries as of today. Thanks to my team, we produced 60 episodes this year which was 5X what we produced last year!

Finally, I shared a few ways we are looking to take you beyond in 2021:

• Vision Setting and Vision Boarding on Saturday, January 2nd at a session we are calling Beyonding: Setting Your Vision and Intentions for 2021! We are going to visualize, journal and do some vision boarding and put things into place to go beyond in 2021. Last December I had some visioning sessions with two of my sister friends, Ekene Onu and Marla Teyolia and in these sessions we poured into each other and we each helped do things like getting grounded, setting vision and creating the support needed to manifest what was to come in 2020. Let me just say that all three of us have had an amazing year! In our session on Saturday I am going to to take you through some of that process to help you start your year off right. This is an absolutely FREE session taking place on Zoom. All you have to do to join is register is go to http://www.kaileicarr.com/intentionsetting2021. Since we are going to have some special parts of the session like a meditation and visualization exercise, I would ask you to plan on being there the entire two hours so you can get the most of out it. I hope to see you there!

• We are OFFICIALLY launching the BEYOND COMMUNITY! The Beyond Community as a sisterhood and place for growth and expansion. The word that came to me was “oasis.” The definition of oasis is fertile ground in the middle of the desert, which is what this community intends to be. Here, regardless of what is going on in your life or in the world, you can grow an be nourished. The Beyond community officially launches on January 11, 2021. Some of the things community members will receive as a part of the community are:
  • Office hours​ with me and other Beyond coaches
  • Monthly ​Soul-to-Soul Sessions, which are intimate conversations with some of my favorite people where we go DEEP.
  • Exclusive Level-Up Professional/Leadership Development Masterclass​es and Masterchats
  • Relevant and meaningful content in the community that will allow you to flourish personally and professionally.
  • Monthly Manifestation Guidance
  • Ability to join a Beyond Circle (10-12 week small groups focused on a particular topics)
